I wonder if Girls 9 is a cultural figure, or a fantasy creation. I suspect the latter.

Girls 9 seems to be a specific reference to the Zulu people in Africa.  There are some good example photos in the thread about series 29 at Amclicks.

I like the female knight.
Is that a new arm on number 9?
The file hidden in the bread is a nice touch.
Would be nice to see that pointy hat in some earth colours - ocre, brown, cream, grey etc. Is the witches broom actually two tone? It has yellow on it in the promo picture.

Do you mean the left arm of the green insectoid alien? It looks like the same style of arm used for the Crab Deeper in Set 71531.

:(o): Checked the thread out, amazing! Thank you! Exactly the kind of thing they should be doing. They should sell it as an actual item (i.e. non-Fi?ure) with an informational leaflet like with the Greek gods.

I'll keep an eye out for it but the Fi?ures I want always go for $20+ on ebay  :'( so I've mostly given up. Still, lovely piece and a sign that at least one Gnome in Zirndorf is alert to possibilities!

That having been settled - what is Boys 12 supposed to be?

You're right, wasn't interested in those sets so didn't pay them much attention. Thanks.

Some sort of Japanese character. Maybe from a kabuke theatre.

Yes, I agree. That's the one I mentioned earlier in the thread with the kabuki kumadori-like mask. :)
