Novelties 2026 January-June
« on: September 17, 2025, 18:42:28 »
The names were made known on amclicks a few days ago. Pictures will follow soon, I guess, because somebody put shots from the catalogue on Youtube.

(thanks to Hörikson at KW for the reference)

A new generation of knights!

Wow! Non-Novelmore themed, a return to more traditional heraldry, really interesting! (Is it bad that that alone is enough to excite me  8}). Though the castle itself isn’t that adventurous

72112 is basically 4866 with two bastions from 4865. I can see one new wall piece (the tall and narrow one, to the right of the tower).

The video has meanwhile been taken down. Pictures will surely soon appear somewhere else.

Nothing that sounds particularly revolutionary - quite a few new animal sets which are always popular.

I guess Novelmore will be cancelled then? Not that they don't have overlapping themes elsewhere...

These 2 from the Princess theme intrigue me, although I can't imagine the Labyrinth being on a large scale? Unless it's a printed mat?

Thanks for the update

Looking forward to seeing the pictures seeing as the video got the axe
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Did a “Playmobil 2026” search and a whole bunch of AI generated amazing looking sets that are quite creative showed up

Nothing real though

But then on Amazon this showed up

Yes we in the US get 50% off sales , but we get 50% less of the produced sets

I think nearly every European supermarket has had their own exclusive VW Camper Van set

As a standalone I think the current castles are fine. The lack of customisation is annoying but the average family will only get one of these in the first place. The layout is reasonably accurate for a castle but I miss the non-fighting figures and accessories like writing desk and chairs.

This is the logic I don’t understand , while it is true that “the average family” will more than likely only buy one, why limit your product ? Why appeal to the largest possible, and often the least sophisticated, audience? In the past Playmobil achieved both with stecks and system X. The basic customer and the eccentric ones could buy one or ten .
