Question - where's the lifeboat (or life raft) on the cruise ship? (Too bad it wasn't modular, then one could expand it. It looks strange to have a ship that's smaller than the first floor of the Victorian mansion...)

Hm. Some interesting stuff, but I'm not overly excited. The cruise ship looks nice (although I can't say I'm a fan of all the stickers in lieu of actual windows). It's nice to see that the Roman and Egyptian themes are getting a revival, but the fact that virtually nothing has changed since the last rendition of either series is a little disappointing.

The idea of a cruise ship is nice (goes well with the hotel etc) but it's tiny - as Scribbler mentioned - and the stickers for windows are a let-down - as PlaymoMan said. I'm not getting it.

I really like the tiki bar and the coconut drinks, but I'm afraid I am not excited about the Egyptians and Romans. Like PlaymoMan I am quite disappointed that they just made variations of what was there before  :-\

As for the age difference debate, I thought they just meant it as a fun fact of history. My grandparents were 13 years apart in age, and their marriage was a happy one. I don't really see the problem.

I really like the look of the cruise ship.  I can't see me ever using it though, so I won't be buying it.  But even if I was considering it, the sticker for the front windows would stop me actually purchasing it.  It is an expensive set, nearly €100 on the German website, so probably more expensive here ... and one slip of the hand when applying that sticker, so it ends up stuck on wrongly - the whole look of the ship is ruined.  That is too expensive of a risk.

I do 'need' Anubis from the pyramid though.  For no usable reason whatsoever.  But just because I like it.  I hope it will be available from Parts.

Yeah, I think the cruise ship is pretty awful, honestly. There had to be a better way to make that. But I do like some of the other sets with that theme, like the tiki bar and banana boat.

The point about size is a good one. It's meant to be a cruise ship, one of the largest types of ship around and it's rather small. Why could it not be castle sized?

Hull could be in two pieces that clip together with a rubber seal to keep water out. First floor would have a state room with balcony at the back, two cabins with one having two rooms so that the children can stay in one and the parents in the other - the child's room would be half the size of the parents. One utility room like a kitchen, crew cabin, or ship's doctor.

Second floor would have restaurant, shopping arcade, entertainment stage at rear.

Third floor would have bar, swimming pool, bridge, captain's cabin.

Crew: Captain, first officer, "sailor", room service person, bar person, waiter.

Rooms, cabins would be modular so that their position in the ship could be changed.

It's a novelty land based ship so doesn't need one.
