In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.

There exist some pics where I am being put in those things; from several years ago when I was at a mini-meet at the Funpark in Zirndorf with Brubil, Arizzo and a few others... ::)  ;D

Was that because you were being too unruly (because you were so excited to be around so much Playmobil!) and park security had to detain you?   ;D

Looking at the kind of medieval sets that playmobil is producing today i cant see how these stocks fit in . The dragonland siege machine for example, look at that sci fi , masters of the universe typ eof set, i cant see how nice detailed historic sets will fit it to be honest ... shame really but i can see short lived sets only from now to respond to the market current trends and not too many items nor detail in them ... i doubt the steck city days will come back , maybe just maybe re releases for us collectors and thats about it... :hmm:
:knight: Steck is Holy . Bring back more steck sets and its guardians , the Nuremberg Guards :knight:

If you look at the box art for the Executioner Special is that an "arm" for hanging the time-out gibbet?

If so, was that another prototype that never got released?

A youtube-video was posted by one of the playmo-fans on facebook, I'll share it with this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dfU6WEBbO0

It starts with the origins of Playmobil and Horst Brandstätter, further in the video Hans Beck takes the word and it is shown how Playmobil-figures & items are designed and developped.
And... proof is shown about the prototype-pics in this thread! The pics are screenshots from this movie! Hans Beck talks about the prototypes that didn't make it into production, the asian horsemen are indeed Mongol Warriors, and there is a great view on the Mississippi Steamboat and the features it had!!

(movie is in German but with English subtitles)

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

Thanks Erwin, this is a great movie. Lots of animals too - but that is definitely not a chimpanzee at the zoo that they show. I'm pretty sure it's the Guinea Baboons that they still have there. The steamboat is pretty magnificent.
