Thank you Bonnie, Gaston Jenna and Gis

Gaston, I made the skirt by cutting down a lady's long skirt and cutting down a plain pair of a man's legs and sanding them at the top so they would just fit inside the skirt space.
I then used a plastic repair material called Plastex to fill the gap and hold the legs in place.
It took a lot of tries to get the legs so that they would just hold inside the skirt.
Here is a view of where the legs join (I did apologise to him for looking up his kilt!)
I tried to sand the extra bits down a bit, but I think it still makes him look as though he has knobbly knees!

Gis - I couldn't call him anything else

Oh I forgot to mention that his kilt is based on a tartan called 'Pride of Scotland'
