Nice work again, cheng.  Thank you for sharing.

What was the civil war about?

I find myself in the embarrassing position to be glad I never said much before…
These are the best ones yet. Even the missing  cuffs are perfect (I dislike missing cuffs typically because it makes the shirts look like they’re ill-fitting).
If I’m jealous, you did SOMETHING right. Keep it up. :D

thanks everyone..
and dear Gordon, I'm guilty of not taking the time to explain a little bit more  :P
to add to my first line;
"a civil war between Chinese 'Christian' rebels (led by Hong Xiuquan) and (finally crushed) by the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty (aided by British and French forces)"

I find myself in the embarrassing position to be glad I never said much before…

thanks for your this view....it does trouble me some times too...ancient chinese had layers of clothes too and very often, had white inside sleeves showing/folded out, so white cuffs do enhance some chinese ancient customs...so to put them on or leave them out is also a headache to me  :P  8}

¿These were commoners, right? In this case, leave them out. More accurate effect (not a better looking one, but a more accurate one).;)
