The toilet is right next to the eating area with no wall. Surely this is a code violation?
Do windows really save on power? I would think the extra heating cost would be more than any lighting cost saved, especially now that led bulbs are readily available. My bathroom is fully interior - no exterior wall, no window, sometimes a cat knocking on the door.
As for the bathroom, my house is down a long drive, the bathroom has floor to ceiling windows on two sides which are just regular glass. There are curtains. The previous owner told us she was having a bath one day when the courier arrived for a signed delivery. No one answered the door so he went around the back to see if anyone was home...She wondered who got the bigger shock given she was in her 80s.
It's a good thing she didn't have heart issues. What a shock!
There's a house about a couple hours from here where the interior walls are all half walls. If someone has stomach flu, does everyone else just evacuate?
