The PLAUMOBIL Play & Give program returns for the 9th year to offer joy to young and old friends but also to contribute to the work of the Association "VISION OF HOPE".

PLAYMOBIL selects each year for the program and a separate theme that combines play, entertainment and values. This year, it puts an end to a wait of 25 centuries and brings "to life" the myths of Aesop in the form of its recognizable favorite figures!

The myths of Aesop have grown up countless generations offering a series of useful moral lessons that help shape the character of children and their perception of the world. The new series of PLAYMOBIL aims to make these myths a more vivid experience and to combine education with the acquaintance of our ancient heritage.

12 different PLAYMOBIL animals acquire anthropomorphic characteristics to teach through play gratitude, trust, friendship and other values ​​in a simple and understandable way.

The PLAYMOBIL Play & Give box: Myths of Aesop includes a 32-page book with 7 myths, which will help parents and their children to represent the well-known allegories of Aesop, such as:

The hare and the turtle
The lion and the mouse
The false shepherd
Mylonas, his son and the donkey
The Fox and the Grapes
The crow and the fox
The donkey carrying salt

This year's PLAYMOBIL Play & Give is a unique collectible set and as every year, part of the proceeds from its sales will be donated to support the "VISION OF HOPE" Association. That's a great idea, with lots of potential for future expansion (there are a lot of fables attributed to Aesop!)

Wikipedia has a list of of 116 Aesop's fables, but I could not identify the two in the list above which refer to donkeys. 'The hare and the turtle' is perhaps better known as The Tortoise and the Hare. 'The false shepherd' is The Boy Who Cried Wolf, I think.

The set contains a snake and there are several fables which refer to Serpents (stereotypically evil, of course), but none in the book that accompanies this set.

Any chance of getting the set from Greece? Please!

P.S. Found the other two; The Miller, The Donkey and the Load of Salt and The Man, His Son and The Donkey (that one's great) are not always attributed to Aesop, so they aren't on Wikipedia's list
