I always imagine very slender crosses with a rooster on top.

Surely those are weathervanes and not crosses?

Well yes, and they are often in the shape of a cross, at least on the churches I've seen.

I ended up just cutting a black flagpole to use for the sides of the cross and super-gluing them on to another flagpole to make a simple black cross.  Thanks for the feedback, everyone!
