Playmo on vacation
« on: August 03, 2014, 06:42:36 »
While on holidays in France Les Vosges we found a charming little city called Colmar. I will post some pictures of some of the houses in the centre there, they look like the playmobil steck houses. However, when strolling and site seeing I noticed a mall toy museum which had a exhibition of playmobil at the moment. A collector named Claude Steible made some great diorama' depicting movies.

I made some pictures, to bad they're not that oke, but the diorama's where behind glass and I made the pictures with my mobile.

Can you tell which movies are shown. (Some pics are of biblical sceneries, not sure if both are movies too)

I don't know anything about movies, but I'm really glad to see these wonderful dioramas - thank you for posting them.

I especially love the Noach's Ark (number 9), and the divers (number 10).

Thanks for your nice replies and trying solving the question. Love to make pictures, post them and hope you like them.

1) Gladiator (Indeed leefert..!, historically it mimicked the Battle of Teutoburg forest)
2) Hannibal, le pire ennemi de Rome (French movie about Hannibal from Carthage who crossed the Alps with elephant and a big army to try defeat Rome in 200 BC)
3) Lord of the Rings (Retern of the King, a Mumakil of the Haradrim, Leefert knows his classics  ;))
4) Ice Age
5) Zulu (Spotted nicely BB)
6) Jurassic Park
7) Hansel and Gretel (The question in French: Qui a ecrit le conte de Hansel et Gretel? Translates something like Who has written the story of H & G? The answer is Grimm brothers)
8) The Thing (Yeah, the space ship is a little strange..)
9) Noah's ark
10) The Abyss
11) Samson and Goliath
