Construction
« on: June 15, 2014, 12:02:19 »
Hello Pf's,

I think I catched the playmovirus again, or it came out of dormancy. Anyhow, my daughter comes to an age to play with dolls and stuff. Well I thought perfect for introduction into playmo. The box says from 4 years on, my daughter is just 2 years but if I stay around playing too she wont put anything in her mouth....that phase is over anyway.

Still, this has nothing to do with construction, however my Little daughter the princes does not only like princes playmobil, she loves Romans, vikings, Egyptians, underwaterworld, adventure too! She loves all playmobil and especially contruction! Would you believe it... She actually goes crazy over dump trucks, excavators and bulldozers!

Can't stay behind of course. My interest in playmo was primarily historic themes, but now I want contruction too. So if anyone, especially the dutch and Belgium pf's, want to sell something contructionwise let me know.

I'm planning on building a stone quarry with all the big vehicles and i need construction trailers, mobile toilets, contruction klicky's, rocks, rocks and rocks, beer bottles etc etc.

How wonderful to have such a supportive Dad!  Your daughter is one lucky little girl.  Happy Fathers Day!

Yay construction theme, one of my personal favorites. It's funny or not how when a little girl wants to play construction it sounds so fun and educational but when a boy wants to play fairies it seems a bit off.

There are so may great sts in this theme you are on that slippery slope to joy. Maybe a train for you quarry?
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Might need a female construction worker too. Maybe a farmer clicky with a hardhat could work for that since I dont think theres female construction workers in that theme.

Nice thought! In the theme there are little, I guess none, female workers. For my dio I imagine a female supervisor! A logistics expert...

I have some explorer females who could fit in.

Figures series 4 number 7, the paramedic, could make a perfectly good construction worker with a different hair and a hard hat. Maybe change the torso to a more colorful one than the white. Also the upcoming series 7 has a female miner.

I just got into the construction theme to with my 4 yo son.  So much fun and definitely a slippery slope :)

And I like all the ideas for female workers - my son keeps asking for "Wendy"  (a character from the Bob the Builder tv series).  She wears a blue construction hat and there is one in one of the add-ons - I'm going to do a custom but am waiting for a sale/coupon to place my next order.

I haven't been so ambitious as to create a quarry but I love the idea.  I keep hoping Playmobil will release more rock, etc. add-ons.

Enjoy!

A female construction worker is something Playmobil should bring out.  (Thanks, btw, Tim for mentioning the female miner - a strange choice in some ways - I'll try and find someone with more than they want as I did with the male version.)  A member of staff who worked for me temporarily ended up working with a big UK construction company, initially as her training progressed on Terminal 5 at Heathrow.  The last I heard, she was working on the Gold Coast Railway in Australia.  The funny thing was that, although she was in her mid twenties she only looked about 16!

The great thing with kids that age is that they are happy with nearly anything. Mixed assortment of Playmo? Fun! Cardboard Playmo box? Also fun! Bulldozers and dump trucks? Best thing ever!
