That's great such brilliant photos of the parade and the crowd really captures the excitement and anticipation particularly the first photo and the one of the boys on the blacony. I really like the uniform of the Grenadier Guard and the guy and girl holding the tiger oh yes and the guy with the sandwich board's great as well the only guys I don't like are the old ones with the white faces like Michael Jackson sorry but they give me the creeps.

Very cool!!  Great parade.  I love the action shots.  Makes me want to dig out my circus crate.

Great action shots, and nice touch on the wood shavings in the ring.

As Tim has suggested Christmas lights, we had very tiny LED ones on twoAA batteries that were a great scale. We found them at a discount store for a few dollars each and they were at least 18-24 inches long.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

The circus fits well into the Victorian aera. Ver nice pictures, Birdie. I like the little details, e.g. you have customized a fairy to blend in the circus folks.

Cheers,
HDL

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your comments.

As I looked through your photos, I had the tune "The Entry of the Gladiators" going through my head all the time!  You can listen to it here as you go through the photos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B0CyOAO8y0

I've had that tune in the back of my mind too  ;D  It's perfect. Thanks for the link!

Now I'm also curious with the show... though my love of circus is long gone - don't think that applies to the playmoversion.

Because of the treatment of animals in circuses? Couldn't agree more, I never even wanted to see a real show with animals because I think it's completely brutish. But well, so was Western or medieval life, but in my plastic Playmoworld, it's another matter.

The circus fits well into the Victorian aera.

Thank you! I was a bit worried about that, because some items just don't seem to match. I changed the wheels of the trailers and left out modern bits from the circus tent, but some details escaped me. For instance, I just realised the picture on the billboard depicts a human canon ball... with very modern helmet  ;D

This reminds me of the film Little Nemo! :)

I had to look this up, because I hadn't heard of it before. I'm watching some of the movie right now, it's sooo cute   I just saw the circus parade part (and he has a squirrel, LOVE it!).  :munch:

As Tim has suggested Christmas lights, we had very tiny LED ones on twoAA batteries that were a great scale. We found them at a discount store for a few dollars each and they were at least 18-24 inches long.

Yes the scale would be pretty important. I'll have to find some of those...

the only guys I don't like are the old ones with the white faces like Michael Jackson sorry but they give me the creeps.

  I've heard people say that before, but I don't see it. Every circus needs a pierrot  :)
