I agree, old classics would have been better.

I suppose it depends on WHICH classics... and personal preferences.. But I think we can all agree it would at least make more sense for a 40th ANNIVERSARY set..  to be a link to the past...

Yeah, that's what I mean really, just more appropriate. I personally like newer style plamo better than the old original klickies. But they have a certain nostalgia to them. Kind of like when Barbie re-released the original Barbie for... I think their 50th(?) anniversary.

Yes, I mostly prefer the newer ones too - well.. MIDDLE ones? But maybe an updated version of an old set would be more suitable, or the "twin pack" would be the ancient and the old. However, I suppose only us nuts would see that as good value, right?  :-[

Weird sets they've chosen...
That Princess'es purplepink boat and dock are once again absolutely ridiculous.
The Prince in the boat has a nice printed torso which is great for customizing. That's about it for me with these sets.

Btw, in the Knights' set the cannon's gunbarrel is resting on a newly designed guncarriage (I don't mean the wheeled waggon), this might perhaps indicate more new medieval sets will appear 2nd half 2014.

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

I think it is just the cart that was used for the prison wagon and the vikings.

not too fond of the tournament set.

not a fan of that helmet design either. (it should have two openings for the eyes, not one big one.)

You're absolutely right, but we DO have a much better one, as you can see below! :)

The viking cart has "full wooden" wheels. This cart indeed seems the same as the prison and treasure carts, but the gun-carriage seems new, like Hadoque said. :)
