Well, I guess knock-offs are found with most of the popular toys... and since China has an exploding economy, it is very conceiveable that knock-offs from other chinese manufacturers will pop up on the market, so fighting them will be a humungous undertaking 8}...
I think if one is to choose quality he will not turn to those chinese toys, but will stick to the original. Perhaps those sets are only interesting as a curiosity in certain collections.
At least that is why I have a Schenk set in my collection: I think of it as a curiosity and I think Schenk has reached some sort of cult status (at least that's what I feel about it) because it was one of the first copies that was really similar to Playmobil.

Interesting. The klickies do not interest me in the slightest, but that remote controlled excavator looks really good. I REALLY like it in that bright green...

Still bit curious of wot actions this loader could make
or can he just drive around , prob would looking at distance command

Nice challenge though  ;)

The Klicky's themselves aren't to my interest, but I like all of the vehicles especially the logging front end loader with trailer !
Forget about all of the other stuff,....all we need is the reintroduction of the 3526 Fire Engine!

The fork lifts say friction on the left edge of the package, does that mean they are pull back & let go to roll ????

thanks Richard for sharing this interesting moving legs prototype! (I couldnt see any of Tricornjock's links but I get the general idea) I would need a bent arm more than moving legs ;D (not a flexible elbow but just a more permanenly bent arm (than female klicky arms) some day...no heating & bending! :P )

Here is the link to the R/C ones:

The friction ones might be push forward and they continue to roll (?).

I would bet the R/C prices are probably very inexpensive compared to what it would be if it was a Playmobil one.  Mind you, the quality of the plastic is probably not the same.
