New purchases.

Been a while, and this batch I got for a good deal online has been with me for some months now but I figured to take a picture of it while I was setting up everything for my newest story in the past week.



Different sets from the same seller, and the nun I picked up in a store.

Especially happy with the blue hooded archer since hes rare but I had him for a normal price. Happy with the medieval kids, furniture and swan squire too, really needed all of that. And some more tower and fleur de lis troops can come in handy, as well as the catapult that came with them.

Just noticed that one soldier is hiding on the picture, only his helmet can be seen. It's a regular tower soldier like the fellow on the left but with a scaled chestplate as they usually have.

I did already switch around some hairstyles before taking the picture to avoid duplicates.

Cool they all look very nice good way to build up your troops and civilians I aprticularly like the little Fleur De Lis boy with the helmet on his head very cute

Completely agree.  These figures, to me, represent kind of the "golden age" of medieval playmo.  The sets, the castles, the klickies, they all look good and make sense.  Good scores Rhalius.

My DS order came in a few weeks ago, this time there was an opportunity to introduce them with a little story once more.

Sam the Shepard was counting his sheep, ready to bring them back to their stable.

Sam: "Alright fellows, time to head back."

On their way back they walked through a forest...


... Where they met a wizard!

Sam: "Erhm hello there stranger, who are you?"
Wizard: "I am the wizard of this forest, since you are pure of heart I shall grant you three wishes."
Sam: "three wishes eh? well I always wanted to travel far away to exotic new lands no one ever saw before!"

Wizard: "and so it will be! shazaam!" He raised his staff and suddenly a strange man dressed in animal skins and wearing feathers on his head appeared.

The indian looked around and smiled. "Ugh, always wanted to see exotic new land! thank you great spirit!"
Wizard: "Erhm that wasnt quite what I intended but you are welcome.. let's try again... "
Sam: "I changed my mind.. I'd much rather see the future! I want to go to the future!"

Wizard: "Alright, shazaam!" Again he raised his staff, suddenly a roman centurion appeared.

He also smiled and looked around. "Quo Vadis? Always wanted to see the future. Never thought silly hats would come into fasion."
Sam: "That fellow looks interesting, can you take me to the past perhaps?"

Wizard: "erhm sure.. Shazaam!" This time a pirate appeared.

He raised his pistol and fired a shot as he cheered: "Arr, this be me lucky day! time travelin to find riches in the past!"

Sam: "Let's just forget about the wishes, I need to bring my sheep back to their stable."
Wizard, Pirate, Centurion and Indian: "Mind if we come with you?"
Sam: "Not at all."

[Rhalius]

The wizard glanced around the fence and the stable, while the other guests where playing with the sheep.

Wizard: "so this is where the sheep live, but what about you? And do you need to take care of these sheep by yourself"
Sam: "Well I sleep in the stable with them, and I guard them with my life!"

Wizard: "That just won't do, you are a shepard and not a guard. Lets do something about that. Shazaam!" He raised his staff and three armed guards appeared.

Sam: "what the...! erhm.. what are these soldiers doing here?"

Wizard: "They are here to protect your sheep of course! now, lets see about giving you a place to live. you cant sleep in the stables. Shazaam!" He raised his staff once more, this time a grand house appeared.

Sam couldnt believe his eyes, was this real? "Is this really happening?! is that.. house for me?"
The wizard smiled: "Well of course! seems like I first fulfilled a wish for those three fellows, so the least I could do is grant you some things as well. Naturally, the house isnt empty..

Inside the house seemed to be a grand treasure, enough for the shepard to live like a king for the rest of his life!

Which he did, together with his newfound friends who helped him out with tending the sheep, and the guards fiercely protecting those sheep from any possible harm.


Suddenly a young boy appeared, along with his luggage. "Hey there! mind if I stay here for a while?"

Sam: "Erhm sure.." He looked at the wizard. "Did you use your magic to bring that boy here?"
Wizard: Oh no, but I have heard that lately, whenever clickies are making wishes for new stuff and new friends, a friendly boy like this or a girl appears along with them!"



That's all for now, next purchases may be next year when the blacksmith can be ordered.
