Great purchases, and a very brilliant way to introduce them!!!

Exactly, considering the different themes he bought.

Probably a benefit of pretty much only going for the medieval and pirate theme, they are somewhat compatible.  :)

Might be a while before I purchase several sets at once again since my space is limited, but I will make sure to make a little story with the new purchases again when it happens.  :)

The knights are quite nice yes, its only a shame that the set with four Lion troops consists out of two knights.  :( With just one it would have been a perfect army builder set. All of it was on sale though, even was a special discount when purchasing the Lion transport, ballista and the Lion troop set together. With the two cannoneers that makes for 7 soldiers and 3 knights.

It was 112 euros for all of this, aside from the two specials and the figure.  Shipping was free.

I too find that Lion Troops set to be weird. I think there are far too many cannons in the sets. If they added more figures instead - knights or otherwise - I think the sets would be much better.

That's true, although I must say these medieval cannons do seem to have much more realistic projectiles than the pirate and western cannons. I can really see the included projectiles being used in medieval warfare.  Seems more fit for a ballista though.

The Lion clickies also look very nice, especially the common soldiers.

I've had the pictures and these sets for months but didnt get around to posting them yet, might as well do it now before posting the story I shot the pictures of last week.  :-[

So heres another introduction of new sets in story form.  :)

Three redcoats are patrolling into new land, what will they find?

From the other side, three Lion soldiers are patrolling as well into this unexplored territory.

Both march into the same village!

Seeing other soldiers, both leaders give the order to charge!

But what's this? they just realised they are standing in a nice little village, but there is no one here to take care of it.

Such a shame, since its such a nice looking village.

That won't do at all, so they decided to get to work!

At the end of the day, they celibrated together, enjoying the food and drinks they had worked for!

The end.  :)
