Great story what an adventure you've got some really nice additions particularly like the Egyptians and that Schooner and it's crew is absolutely beautiful a real classic . I find it an interesting coincidence as well that you've also got a BBQ guy seeing as how I picked one up boxed from the market near me much as I don't approve of killing animals particularly innocent lambs I do feel rather sorry for him poor hungry fella, gotta admit I quite like the guy with his apron, floral tshirt and his hair and beard although I swapped my guys hair for the lifeguards slightly shorter ruffled hair.

Love the Gladiator fighting the Samauri should be a good test of his skills, the Vikings enjoying their present particularly the Chief with his pink doll and the Knight covered in baking powder  a very intersting good alternative back story he really does look scared of those kitchen girls.

The BBQ guy was from a DS purchase.  :)

And theres few things more dangerous than upsetting people working in a kitchen.

Thanks for sharing, I always like to watch scenes.
All the gestures and gazes are very well placed, I think.
The figures really come to life.

Bought some second hand viking sets, so its story time again.  :) Be prepared for the vicious, looting and pillaging merciless Viking hordes!  :viking:

Ingvar: "What's the matter rolf?"
Rolf: "There's this girl I am fond of, and I dont know what to give her for her birthday."
Ingvar: "What about a rose? that might show you care."

Harald: "Nah, flowers are tacky!"

Harald: "You should write her a poem instead! thats personal."
Rolf: "That might actually not be such a bad idea, thanks I'll try that!"

Knut: "Alright, we are back from the raid! we brought many riches with us! Whats the matter with you Rolf?"

Rolf: "I am going to write a poem for the birthday of the girl I love!"
Knut: "Are you sure? What if she doesnt like poetry?"
Orvar: "I think he should send sweets instead."
Sigurd: "Nah, she might hate that. Why not a cat?"

Vidar: "Hey what is going on here?"

Harald: "Rolf is sweet on a girl, and he plans to give her a cat for her birthday!"
Vidar: "Thats foolish! What if the poor girl is allergic?"
Harald: "I know!"

Vidar gets off his boat to have a good word with young Rolf.

Vidar: "Rolf my boy, if you truly want to be nice to her on her birthday, why not give her a serenade?"
Rolf: "Well perhaps.. look at that treasure Knut and the others captured though, they really came through for us!"
Vidar: "Nevermind that! its just material stuff, this girl, she is the real treasure! tell her how you feel through song!"
Ingvar: "That's right! wealth is fleeting, but true love is forever!"

Volund: "Alright guys, we just breached the walls of the nearby town! the people have fled in fear! all their riches are ours for the taking!"

Knut: "Nevermind that, theres more important things to worry about! Rolf is in love with a girl, and he is planning to sing for her. We need to work on lyrics!"

Volund: "Oh, that's quite a challenge.. the words should come from the heart though! dont say anything you dont truly mean!"

Orvar: "Just bring a rose along just in case! so you can give something as well!"
Sigurd: "And a cat!"

And so they kept talking for hours, to ensure their friend Rolf would give this girl he liked the perfect gift for her birthday. And they lived happily ever after.

((and here is a final picture of all these new vikings in a position they are all standing properly on the picture.))

A shame the beard of the greyhaired one is missing, extra beards can be hard to find, especially the nicer ones. Furthermore the vikings themselves are complete and make for a nice little horde combined with the 6 or such I already have. Its enough to have a viking raid, might just need to get a proper viking ship for them from DS.
Sadly the rowboat misses the decorative pieces at the front and back but it also works without them, and a few bows have a broken string. But I am very happy with the purchase still, quite happy about getting Nessie's pet viking without Nessie, since that one takes up a lot of space and I really only wanted the viking.
Its pretty much only the rare ones that only come in the big sets that I dont have, furthermore I seem to have all of them now. Exept for the newest figure but I've yet to see them on sale anywhere.

Great purchase :)

I love vikings, especially the first special one (4519 - is it bad I know the ref? :-[ )

Also love that guy in the dark brown furs (wish we could get those furs), he reminds me of the prince (4505 - another!), who is a fave too...

If you need a grey beard, I can probably get you one.

:)  Lovely little story and great pictures. Makes me want to collect the vikings too.
Those are great names for them, by the way.

Thanks everyone.  :)

With luck I might actually find some beards on the market this weekend. Its King's day, which means lots of people selling their second hand stuff as is tradition.
Hoping to find some nice playmobil there.

Other than that, maybe some beards can be found on auction or such. Sending a grey beard through mail from portugal may be a bit much, reminds me of a joke from Chico Marx, he talked about his grandfathers beard being send through hairmail.  ;)
