What do you think of the series 2 specials' non-trademark faces?

I totally agree with this thought. If they don't know what is selling by popularity, how do they know if a certain figure is a dud or success?

I voted yes! I may not like some faces like the scatter, but the different styles do offer more possibilities in customising and photostories! Playmobil is after all about creating your own world! And you need more face expressions to achieve it! The old plain smile is the best of course, don't get me wrong, but the nnew variety is much more sophisticated and interesting, apart from a few exeptions!

I think I agree with Panos. At first I hated them, but they are growing on me. Variety is a good thing!

I do not mind about the sad or angry mouths in fact, or tatoos, or eyelashes and eyebrows and all that... I did hate when they changed the smile. Becasue THAT is the trademark of a clickie. And the new skater has a new smile. That's horrible. And the eyes. I hate the non classic eyes....Come on guys! do you like Cleopatra's eyes?? and those are not new... so appart form the skater which I think looks freaky and a bit scary actually  I like the possibilities these changes bring. But I'll tell you when I get my series 2 lot

I hate that one so much. A lot of Dragon Land figures and other new ones like Falcon Knights have that...

Ah, I'm not alone. I'm not very fond of the unshaven face either - cause they've used and abused it...

Doug you have some good points there, the problem is that these are blind bagged figures. So there wont be any individual sales numbers that could tell them if a particular one is more or less popular.

Ah, of course.   Good point.   So, the rictus skater should have been tried out as a Special, perhaps.  
Otherwise the only feedback Geobra would have is if series 2 undersell 1 and 3...

Terrible and Ugly and just nor right these new faces. I dont know what on earth the design team at playmobil is thinking, i have  a very  very strong view about the original smiley, playmobil is wrong to drop its trademark which is the simple smiley klicky.

As long as the normal smile and eyes are preserved, I am fine with facial features such as eyebrows, tattoos, facial hair, make up and such. Different eyes are fine too, like for asian clickies or ghosts. Upside down mouth is alright too, although I still dont like seeing a clicky being sad considering the amount of joy clickies usually bring.

Later the faces got weird, took them less than 10 years to go from standard faces only to weird faces though.

Playmobil will hopefully not make the same mistake, they have been so good with it so far, no reason to abandon the friendly faces now. Especially since its not needed, playmobil faces allow for a lot more than lego, with earrings, attached beards and hair not being worn like a hat.

i've noticed that, and i was very curious about it - does that mean that no current lego fig comes with their classic smile?

not that i love lego, but i can't image the fans' reaction...
