Movie set.
« on: November 28, 2011, 09:54:50 »
Playmobil could release a very small theme regarding movie making, its something that could be used with everything playmobil ever released.. just put a camera team on a pirate ship and you have a pirate movie for example.

Here's the suggested sets:

-Movie crew.
A medium set consisting out of crew and equipment, everything needed to make the movie.
Comes with two camera's, a director's char, megaphone, notepad, and all the most obvious things needed to make a movie.
Included clickies: director, two cameramen, sound guy and an assistant.

-Stunt men.
Various stunt equipment to be used for all kinds of clicky movies.
Included several cushions and safety nets to ensure no clickies will be hurt while making the movies, as well as a breakable table, chair, and more such objects that can be put back together.
Included clickies: a stunt man and stunt woman.

-wardrobe.
A small set consisting out of several chests and boxes filled with hats, belts, armor, scarfs, necklaces, bracelets and such.. all kinds of stuff to dress up clickies with.
Included clickies: a lady that takes care of the wardrobes

A movie theme would be awesome!

It would go with literally any theme! :D

We did have the old tv camera crew sets, but some updated ones (ooh with those massive snazzy cameras! :apple:) would be so cool. With the railway tracks from the goldmine sets as well for the cameras ;)

Great ideas there!

Damo :)

I think this is my favorite of all your ideas! It would be soooo awesome! It's true that people collecting absolutely ANY theme could use them, so it would probably sell like crazy. Especially if it were kept smallish and rather inexpensive. I can just see a whole western town set up, with a film crew in the middle of the street. Or you could put the camera men on a safari jeep, and have an updated version of older sets showing wildlife documentaries being filmed.

It would be nice, too, for if you wanted to show off, say, a whole western scene in a small space. It would explain why there's a small indian camp crammed right next to the town, with a ranch right next to that and a fort right next to that, seperated only by walls of rocks. If they were just movie sets, it would make sense!

Sorry for prattling on, you sparked my imagination. :-[

I wasn't going to mention this at first (sounds so competitive or thunder-stealing - haha) but I thought of this a few years ago myself and mentioned it on the playmoboard website - and at the time I made a list (on paper) of what they should have and how it would be worth playmobil's time cause I was actually going to SEND IT TO THEM (as if they'd listen, right?!)...but that's how good an idea I think it is - that I thought they actually might!  I'm going to see if I can find that and I'll PM it to you for kicks!

And don't forget real-working lights (you know, those blinding lights!!) and trailers for the stars to go chill out in before and after they're on set!  Also can't forget the fans waiting behind the fences to get an autograph!  And you know how PM's really good at verging on inappropriate?  That's why one of the fans should be a stalker!  And there's the paps too - or did someone already mention them?

Love the idea of the trailers for the stars. And the lights are a must, along with screens for adjusting the lighting.

Lights should definatly be included with the filmcrew set, trailers might be part of the vacation theme already though and could be used from there.

Special movie star trailers and filmsets could always be added in a second batch if it would prove to be popular.  :)

To keep it cheaper, rather than using whole big RVs, they could use the molds from something like this: http://playmodb.org/setpics/7242.jpg or this: http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3728.htm
