Hello, its great to see I am not the only one still interested in playmobil while in adulthood.

I am not really a big collector, I dont have the space for that but I have occasionly bought a small box after my childhood, things that compliment what I have nicely and really expand on it. Only historical themes though, pirates and knights, although cowboys might also be tempting if I see a good set for it.
But I am planning to buy myself a camera sometimes soon and photograph my entire collection (it should be able to fit on one desk) and also some nice shots to maybe tell a little story behind it.  In the meanwhile I will just join the discussions going on though."

Being the youngest of four children and my brother being 14 years older than me (two sisters in between), I grew up playing with not only the playmobil of my own generation, but also from before that. After we stopped playing with the playmobil we seperated it from each other while we where still able to know exactly what belonged to whom. Which does mean my collection has a siege tower but no castle to besiege since that was my brothers.
In fact, I owned no structures at all up untill last week when I bought the new redcoat fort in an impulse, we always used that castle to build any houses we wanted.
After buying that set, along with several smaller sets of the new pirates the day before it, I figured it was time to look up like minded people to talk about it.

(and maybe to help me controll my urge to buy a bit.)
If there is any set I would simply love to aqquire some day, it would be the 3666 castle. I always wanted to have it as a kid because it seemed to belong to the three knights that where my favorite back then, which came with a practice set. A swan knight, a fleur de lis knight, and a tower knight.  I gues anything from those factions would be welcome, but might be hard to get in good condition.
