:o

HOW big is that layout!?
The whole layout is 9 m x 14,5 m.

The oval with the mountain and the lake is 4 m x 2,40 m (Radius 2 and 1)
The oval around the Rhododendron is ~ 7 m x 5 m. (Radius 3, 2 and 1)
All switches are LGB Radius 1, 1 double crossing switch is Radius 2.

The whole layout has ~120 m of LGB track (used).

what a fantastic layout and a turntable!!! can't wait to see your progress.
See Progress: Yes, me too!
The turntable will be made of 2 flower pot saucers (45 cm radius/90 cm diameter; 14,- € each), 1 is left outside and the 2nd with the »bridge« could be unplugged and taken away (that's the idea).

This get's more and more interesting; can't wait to see more.

(May I correct one word in your post?  "hole" in this context should be "whole".  It's the dreaded English homophone, two words which sound the same, are spelt differently and mean different things!  And there are also some which sound the same, are spelt the same and mean different things!!)

You have corrected only ONE word?
Yes, you are right. Thank you for the correction (I corrected it in the text). My English is not the best... I am glad that I can just communicate in English.

Great looking layout. Do you add all the cars, buildings, accessories and Klickies to your outdoor layouts or do you just keep track and trains outside?

I was thinking about an outdoor layout but I am trying to figure out how to  minimize sun damage

PS: exposing roots like that is not a good idea, but then it is in the way of playmobil fun  :P

You communicate very well in English, much better than some English speakers I've come across during my life!

This is a beautiful layout, I love the way it is incorporated into your garden.  Correct me if I am wrong, but does the track stay out all year, with the exception of the power systems?  This is going to be so exciting to watch your progress.  Even though I only have a 4034, with a broken caboose roof and minus all of the track (lost and crunched during a move) I also want to tell you thank you for your tireless responding to the plethora of train questions on the forum.  I am fascinated by the use of a flower pot saucer for the turntable.  Love it.
