Excellent review, Gordon

Your photographs are really great, and I really want this set now!

Just one question, Is the yellow sand the same shade as in the other beach set you reviewed?

Damo :)

Thank you, Damo.

Unfortunately, and I meant to mention this but forgot, the sand in this set is much lighter than in the 3644.  Maybe it's meant to represent finer grained sand.  Respraying one or the other would be possible of course.

Thank you Bonnie.

I haven't had that problem.  Does it depend on which way round you have the surfboard i.e. top to the left or top to the right?

No, it still falls every time the table is bumped, on my set. :-\

It is unfortunate that no two sands ever seem to match. ::) However the sand in this set is a very nice color. I wish they were all this color. I have one set where the sand is a mustard color.

Great review on another wonderful set Gordon thank you!
Just in case, I think no one mentioned it. There are two repeated pics. The back view of the clikies is the same than the front and the overall view of the set is the one showing the slot for the board.
At least it shows like that in my computer  :-\

another nice review. Thanks

I too wish the sand base plates were of the same color. Playmobil is all about being able to buy many sets and have them work together. If they keep making up new colors it get increasingly harder to put a large diorama together.

Also Gordon I do believe the foot hold on the board is also intended for the kid, you just spin it and his feet fit the smaller width.

Yes, that's a truly ingenious design by playmobil, even though it's a very simple thing. Those same footholds are on the skateboards and they fit either adult feet or child feet and can be turned.

Gaston's right about the pics, I just didn't want to say anything. :P

Oops, I don't know how those got through as I read each post through afterwards!  I've corrected them and thank you for mentioning it.  No need to call your computer engineer!

Maybe this is a good example of something the PCC could raise with them - match the colours and sell more sets.

Also Gordon I do believe the foot hold on the board is also intended for the kid, you just spin it and his feet fit the smaller width.

I think you're right, Ras, it does serve that purpose too.  I'd only been wondering how the child could use it.  I'll add an extra picture later today.
