Finally managed to open mine... Wanted to share a few more details, if you don't mind Gis  :)

Firstly my set does have the plasticc glass over the window frame. (attachment 1) Gis are you sure its not there?  :eh?:

Secondly, the clips that keep the counter and cell bars in place are good designed and keep the bars well in place. (attachments 2&3)

Also, here is a comparison between the old vault and the new one! The new one is better designed and more flexible... no fear of opening it and closing it many times  ;D

Finally just to give you an idea of what the carrying case looks like when closed ;)

My verdict: this is a really great set!!! For a caryying case it provides so many possibilities!!!! you can easily seperate the two houses by loosening the hinges and use them as seperate house in a western town diorama!!!!
