Can't find the torso right now... lets coclude the treaty...

----------------------

King Kellanved studies this proposition with great interest! He finally asks Aun if, after signing this treaty, anything else can be added should the need arise!

''I agree with everything Aun! Lets sign this document for the benifit of both our kingdoms! Once we sign we can turn our priorities to help our neighbouring kingdom of Ithaca! They also have trouble and a new alliance will be a great benifit for them!''

"I am glad! Let our new found alliance be long and lasting.
And I agree, we can add anything to it later,
so long as we both consent.
But I see nothing to worry about there.

As for Ithaca, I suggest we use this new alliance to aid them.
Though Ithaca and Rutileo are not allies,
(and I am afraid it may be many years until we are...)
The Empire is still no friend of mine.
And if we may even so much as weaken it,
I and my country men will stand behind it.

Our first course of action should be to try and get Eaglesland on our side,
Hopefully we can stall the war for long enough to organize ourselves.
Should we be able to do that, I see hope for this war."

I grasp Kellanved's shoulder,

"Methinks this could be the opportunity to use our new found alliance agreements.
Organize your army, make ready your troops.
We ride for Rutileo as soon as possible,
we will use our ships to invade the one area of the Empire that is weak."

''Ithaca is the one to be aided first! Maybe we must strengthen their lines and then land at the weak spot of the Empire...''
''Then with Ithaca on our side we can also approach Eaglesland! But you are the master strategist, fighting the Empire for so many years now, you have the advantage. Its your final call!''

"Kellanved,
I fear that stocking the front lines of Ithaca,
will not help them as much as invading the Empire,
and capturing its' land.

I have in mind a pincher movement.
For now, things between Ithaca and the Empire are stable.
Neither are in the others' territory,
and there is a calm.
It is, as one might call it, a stand still.
I wish to disrupt the calm with a decisive strike,
a strike King Talos will play a role in.
But we cannot perform it with troops in Ithaca land.

I would also like Eaglesland to join the strike,
I have sent a messenger there to speak with King Leon...
But if you think we should wait to speak with him,
I can recall my message."

Thinking, I then say.

"But I see your wisdom, first we should get King Talos to consent,
and get our attack ready before we ask anything of King Leon."

Thank you Aun for considering this proposition! Ithaca must first be approached and then we must strike at the expansive agressiveness of the Empire. We don't want our lands to be enslaved by these rulers...

Melnibone is a mining kingdom.  We have vast reserves of ore, silver, gold, copper, minerals, and jewels.  We are weapons makers.  We can supply all your military campaign needs.  Swords, armor, shields, just to name a few of the services.  We have ports and a fleet to open trade lines.   We can open trade with any kingdom but reserve the right to close down trade talks at our choosing.

Then consider this, fair king of Melnibone,
To be an official offer from the Kingdom of Rutileo  :)
to open trade connections between our two kingdoms.
Would you like to accept our offer?
We have much to trade in return,
Precious metals and jewels, as well as out coinage. :hatoff:

Stormbringer is reserved for invaders.

Yes indeed, I had forgotten that!
