A fake Playpeople Bobby's hat?

I don't know about anyone else, but this looks very dodgy:

The colour is all wrong, and it just looks obviously too shiney to be an original, plus, its from Malta ;)

Would anyone be legally able to replicate this part, now that the Playpeople (I don't know about Marx) no longer exists? ???

wow!!! thats a great Bobby's hat!!! If it is from Malta, could it possily be a reject? If its a designed that leaked the playmobil factory, could we be looking at a secret special project? and if its replicated from the original, isn't geobra going to lawsuit in case the design is copyrighted? all possible scenarios...

This seller looks similar to the reports a while back stating Playmobil was prosecuting sublet assemblers in Malta that were keeping parts & selling them in shops & on the internet & not returning them the the factory. They have a few things that I'm interested in!

It's definitely not an original, but the plastic color and quality looks to me like modern Playmo. Possibly a future special? I don't think it's a home recast.

If we are looking at a part from a future special I want a whole division of them  ;D Re-enacting the Kent (UK) police force  ;D

Something about it looks too perfect for it to be a fake. The silver emblem certainly looks printed on and not painted.

Also - I know I'm generalizing - but you don't see many customized (home-made/painted) parts or figures in auctions from Malta sellers.

I know this seller and he only sells genuine playmo parts. So I guess this helmet has to be a leak… 8}
