A plan in the works~can you think of anything else?
« on: January 25, 2011, 15:18:54 »
My goal for this year is to work on getting all the Christmas theme sets that we don't have. This why I'm so excited about Playmobil.ca having the market, Christmas room, and so on, which I'll be able to get when they come in September.

The plan here is, to set up Christmas themed display on one of our tables that we decorate according to the season....now, my question to you is, can you thing of anything else I could be added?

This is what we do have:
Take along Santa's house
Santa's sled w 4 Reindeer set
Santa Special w bag of toys
Boy w Snowman Special

Here's a list of what I would like to add:
4891 Christmas market
4892 Christmas room
4888 Caraousel
4887 St. Nick & Angel
4886 3 kings
4885 Nativity scene
7292 Red Garden Fence (for reindeer)
7917 Horse shed (for reindeer)
*would love to add any of the Timbered houses as well, if I'm ever able to nab one!
* Trees~ Evergreen/Fir ones for sure!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

HI

There was a white triangle tree base you could use and then there are pieces of snow that slide onto the branches that give you a perch for a bird. You may have to get them used or if DS-parts has them still

Every Christmas scene needs kids playing in the snow with the snowmen and sleds

With the 4885 Nativity scene I added this set

and a few little angels...

and there is always 4893

and I agree with Ras, you can always use snowmen and sleds.

i love the hillside scene.  let's see, you could add a christmas tree sale lot, at least, that is something we have here in the states.  usually these are in empty corner lots, or on the corner of the school playgrounds.  that is where they are here in sf.  of course, you would gasp at the price we pay for a christmas tree here in sf, as well.

Great ideas guys!

Rasputin~ I'll have to keep an eye out for PM snow! There will definitely be lots kids and atm, I have 2 snowmen!  ;)

Elaine~ Great pics! Thanks for the ideas!

Kaethe~ I never thought of a tree lot! I'll definitely try to start collecting those trees! In reference to RL tree lots.....up here in Canada, almost every store sell Christmas tree....Zehrs, Walmart, Home hardware, and we also have tree farms were you can go out in the lot and cut your own tree down! I'm gonna guess that the prices for trees in SF, averages about $100-$150...am I close?

:omg: That is a lot of money for a tree (unless it is fake)! Real Christmas trees only cost around $30-$40 for a 6 to 8' tree in Indiana or Washington........

Elaine: I love  :inlove: your pictures! Is the set 4075 new 2011?

LOL! I realize that....by the way Kaethe was hinting that trees were alot were she is, I thought I'd throw a high number.  :)

Even though we have an artificial tree, I know of people who have paid up to $75-$80 for a tree....guess it depends where you get it, the kind you get and the size.

yes, $100 will buy a 6-8' basic douglas fir tree from oregon, depending on the lot, perhaps a 6' noble fir.  smaller is not much less, our 5-6' tree was $85 this year.

don't forget, you can use the iceberg pieces from the eskimo sets as part of your snow scenes.

I'd already used them in the eskimo scene Kaethe!

Jenna, According to the catalogue, the 4075 was a Vedes exclusive set from 2005.  I was lucky to find a new in box one on ebay, back  in November.
