Hi All -
I used to belong to the other Playmobil forum, playmoboard, but as many of you probably know, it's shut down for whatever reason.
I'm in Portland, Oregon.  I have 3 small boys (well, two are small, and the one who first got me into Playmobil is now getting older!) and so am still invested in this stuff!  Even if all 3 boys were to lose interest (right now Legos is taking over our lives), I'm FINANCIALLY invested at this point!

And truth be told, I'm a kid at heart so it's been fun... We've got 3 to 4 of the old castles #3666 which we've had fun putting together to make an extra big castle, and a good amount  of accessories and knights, etc.  I also went crazy buying old collectible playmobil castle/medieval themed toys I think cause I never got my girl (!) and this was as close as I could get to the dollhouse that even I never got to have as a child!  I was bothered that every boy toy under the sun was violent and so decided to use the medieval theme as an excuse to teach them something about history and castles - while still allowing them to have knights and weapons of course.  I also liked collecting the non-knight or civilian (?) klickies and pieces that would give the castle a more realistic look.  Hmmm...just remembered that i never did get the milk-carrying maid like I wanted to!  Or the good keg if not the entire merrymen's feast set!

Nor the witch I still need to be able to say we have all 3 witches.  The one we still don't have is too darned expensive every time I've tried to get her on ebay.  But we've gotten some fun other stuff like the a couple of the old carts with oxen, the Baron's battle tower (?), the old wizard's workshop, etc...and we even got that highly-coveted blue and sliver knight with blond hair that came in the egg.  Can't remember what its # is but my son calls him Akron.
We've had some fun with stop-motion animation and the playmobil.  That's what's brought me to this forum - I'm excited to get the boys into that again and was hoping there might be a classifieds section here.  But it will be fun to see what others are doing with their toys.  The Xmas before last, I bought the boys (from Craigslist) a LGB G-scale train starter set - the good old kind made in Germany - and they found it Xmas morning around the tree!

I'd attached a Playmobil train car and put some klickies inside, leaning out and waving, and I also bought a few extra LGB Xmas themed cars including a shallow-rimmed car (no sides) that I filled with Playmobil toys!

I also surprised them with getting the old train station #4300 which I had next to the track.  I'd set up lots of people bustling about and had also bought a couple of accessory sets to make it look more lively.  I ALSO placed santa and his sled/reindeer on the roof - and I decorated the station with battery-operated little Xmas lights!  Yeah...I'm obviously giving away how much I'M into Playmobil.  And I won't even tell you how old I am - you'd be concerned...
That's all for now - thanks for reading!
