I would probably die unable to decide what Playmobil I would want to take... :P
But the one thing I know I would take would be my computer. ;)
(It has all my Playmobil in pictures, so I can get them back with insurance. )
Steck is BACK! <:>

This a strangely funny, yet sad discussion! Last night my husband told me he was thinking about buying a fireproof safe. When I asked why, he looked at me funny, as if I should already know, and he said "for our Playmobil of course!"  ::) Though I don't know if we could find one large enough....does anyone have their collection insured?
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is more people who have come alive – Howard Thurman.
I need Playmobil!

I do. Check with your home owner or rental apartment insurance carrier & describe your collection & approximate replacement costs, & if it is in your home or a storage building, shed, rental storage, etc. It will increase your premium, but if something happens, you won't walk away with a loss. Even if your collection is in a storage rental you need to check on insurance due to the owner having structure insurance but your contents are your responsibility. Remember replacement values. How much would it cost to replace an entire steck castle collection like 8 x 3666, with hundreds, or even thousands of custom knights knowing they are discontinued, & it will take much more to replace everything than they originally cost due to rarity. Or think how much to replace a Victorian collection with multiple 5300 & 5305 houses, 5306 fences, 5620 cars, 5640 trucks, you get the picture :o! You will need to document your collection with a list of sets & pictures kept in a fireproof safe box for proof. :fireman:

I'd been thinking about this lately...funny

it's a scary thought though :o I would probably save the rarest sets, or just my MIB eskimo sets
as for the rest, it'd be a very sad loss... :( :'(

Just remember that if you pay to have them insured you will at least not be without a chance to start over again! ;)
