Loose steck joints

Another question. 

I have an old silver ranch http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3768 from my childhood. The building is steck, and over time, the joints where the walls join to the corner pieces and two-sided connectors have loosened up considerably. so much that they won't stay together at all, they just completely fall apart. Has anyone had any success finding a way to make them fit more tightly?

Heat is the cure again. Heat the slotted building parts with a hair dryer set on hot, moving it along the entire length of the slotted part. When heated enough, squeeze the sides of the slots together with padded forceps, & let cool.

You can use also something like this:

The silver one could be to thick. Use the transparent one. Put it on the "noses" from the walls.

I've always had the opposite problem - getting Steck to come apart!

Why didn't i think of that?  That's a very simple solution, and a lot safer!

yes, that's the problem I have with my other steck. I only have two steck buildings in my whole collection.

SAFER!? I thought you were becoming a customiser,...painting, & custom buildings, etc., ? Always try to exercise permanent solutions to PM problems not temporary ones that will need constant redo's.

You can always use a couple spots of hot glue, or Blue Tack for other temporary fixes, or super glue & Epoxy for permanent fixes. But to graduate to customizer, try to correct the defect so it functions naturally !

Of so safer = bad.  I'll try to remember that. 

it's kind of funny-- when  I was a kid, I was a huge fan of tape. I'm still trying to get marks off of my old childhood playmo from where I had tape on them. So maybe tape isn't a very good plan! I'm just a little hesitant to take a hairdryer to precious old playmobil to soften and bend it. It seems a little scary, but i'll try it.
