Wallpaper, 2 questions.

Please forgive me if these questions have been covered before, but what are the best papers to use to print wallpaper on the computer and what adhesive do you recommend for applying it to the 5300 or 5305 houses?  Over the years I have been acquiring walls and many of them do not have the original wallpaper, which actually makes it easier to customize, but I haven't done anything as of yet.  ::)  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have never done that myself, but from having worked in a print shop, you definately want a heavier paper - a card stock might be hard to work with because it is so heavy (that's what Playmobil originally uses and then has a machine place the seams of where to bend it in.

I would suggest going to a print shop and asking to see some different weights of paper and taking a sample of the orginal paper Playmobil uses as well. 

Some printers (home computer printers) will not print heavy cardstock paper while most should.  Check the manual or online and see what they say.  A photo capable printer will be able to and most are these days.

You can buy appropriately scaled wallpaper from craft suppliers and specialist dolls house dealers.

Thanks Wes and Gordon, any ideas on adhesives?  Would a spray adhesive work?  :hmm:

I've stuck paper stickers I've printed off on photo paper on Playmobil and I think I used two part epoxy.  They were quite small stickers, POLICE signs on the blue light unit.

I would use a glue for fotos, which can be removed.

Maybe you want to redecorate your house after a few years?  ;)

Also stripes of a double sided sellotape works good.

Something semi-permanent would probably be the best bet, especially if I ever wanted to change it out.  Thanks again.
