thanks everyone!

Cheng, I meant the black stuff around the swords.

sorry A.Baba :P I missed the word 'sheath'
yes...its supposed to be (sprayed) black sheaths (if youre making, red sheaths would be historically accurate too...and also very striking :))
I know there are great customisers who would have made sheaths for them but at that scale, it would not matter (without) but a sheath would only make it even more bulky...imho  :)

and WOT...
I made these long ago...I'll try searching but I think it was experimental(so I wouldnt have taken photos) and didnt think I'll keep these customs like this them till today

anyway, again, no secret technique...i just cut larger blue and smaller black squares of pvc stickers and stick the black over the blue...I'm not able to separate them to take photos..but I hope I explained it well...please dont hesitate to ask ;)

There may be a simple way to make sheaths while using almost the same method you did.
And you could take the swords out! :)

Just wrap the tape around the sword the wrong way... i.e. sticky side out.
Then wrap another layer around that one, sticky side in. and you will have a non sticking sheath! :)

if I adopt my same avatar here (like mine in GW), it would be easier & less confusing to infrequent visitors  :)
but on the otherhand, I try to avoid making my 'mirror' posts in PF and GW...what do you all think?
