Hi

Those are neat looking playing cards you found Damo. Congratulations on finding them and at such a great price.

I do not know anything about them and really find it strange that Playmoibl would make them. Typically a deck of cards is not marketed towards kids aged 3-12 unless they are the really silly ones. Are these the normal regulation/casino sized cards ?

What do the pips/number cards look like? Are they just standard?

I am a fan of specialty playing cards, and though I've never come across these, I'll ask around and see what I can dig up for you.

Yes, they are bog standard, as well as the size

Thanks, that would be great! :)

the only game with cards I used to play was sevens when I was younger. There are no laws that I know of to do with who can play cards and who can't, but I don't think that they like to encourage children to play with cards as they are associated with gambling etc

Which is a puzzle as to why they made these ???

Perhaps someone else can give a better answer :-\

well, I have observed that in some cultures cards are only for gambling, and those who do not believe in it are horrified at the thought of playing cards. But I've never thought of cards that way. I grew up playing cards from the time I was a little kid. I played children's games like go fish, crazy 8s, and old maid. As a teenager, I started playing spade, hearts, free cell, solitaire, slapjack, rummy -- the list goes on and on. And I have never gambled in my life. So I can definitely see making cards for children. I had a lot of special decks made for games like go fish or crazy 8s. I would love to get my hands on some of these playmobil cards!
