Your Roman fort sounds really interesting Giorginetto, I look forward to seeing it completed.
How do you plan to build the four towers at the corners?

Thank you Elaine..  Just go for the easy option and use the stand alone towers from these forts and the one complete i have... Will get a 3-4 more roman tents ( i have 3 ) and i will built a plain square fort with a  few gates and that will work nicely i reckon....

Thanks Wolf Knight, i have gone way  over the top with playmo purchases in the past 3 months  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ but all the major projects are coming to an end. In 3 weeks i will pick up all my spares and klicky orders and buy the egyptians sets , set the romans and egyptians first this summer and at some stage hopefully all the mediaval . . I medidated about these forts i reckon were good buys pricewise and will prove very useful . Steck wood castles are rather neglected , the system x which i have one also is very bad in my opinion and these old forts can be so well tailor made and really look forward to set a roman fort next to the arena.....

What will your Fort's footprint be George? It sounds pretty big.

I've got 3-4 Western Forts (need sorting out and assembling) but I want to put them up in original configuration before I use them for other purposes.

Does anyone have instructions for how to assemble the Headquarters builidng? I thought I had instructions somewhere from the DS fort, haven't found them yet though, and it's proving more complex than I expected from the pictures.

No idea yet.... the big problem for me is to fidn the time to set all these playmobil right now.... I estimate very very roughly is going to be about 1.5m2...... :)

Hah, same problem here. I've had several eBay wins recently that I've opened but examined only for breakages, with no time to assemble them. On top of that I still haven't examined and organised all my Playmobil that was shipped from London, after nearly seven months in the country, though less than three with my Playmoden to play in.

I have no excuse on the space front now, it's just time, and having the inclination to spend 2-4 hours on a single project.

Congratulations on your fort purchases, Giorginetto!  I had one Fort Bravo as a child and purchased several others off of ebay recently.  I created a Roman fort with them a couple years ago and it took up a lot of space.  Unfortunately I didn't take pictures or measure it, but as I recall it was around 6'x10'.  I've decided to use these fort parts for a Celtic hill fort instead and use the new System X wooden forts for a Roman fort.  Unfortunately, I was unable to get most of the parts I needed for this from US DS, so my System X Roman wooden fort has only one wall right now.  I also created a Roman fort out of System X castles.

Martin, unfortunately I don't have any directions for the headquarters, but the construction is pretty simple if you have all the parts.

It is tough to find the time for organizing and constructing all of these!
