I love your great pictures.

I experienced much by your reports over the Viktorian Times. It is similar as with the Middle Ages. Often the people see only the knight in his shining armour, but they forget however the bad conditions, in which humans lived.

You show both sides for “your” time. Thank you very much!

... and the cakes look very tasty!

Greetings

Lady Charlotte was born Waldorf and later married in the prominent Astor family. We catch up with her as she returns from New York on the latest Cunard Steamer to prepare the opening of the Summer Season in London. Her husband, Lord John Rudolph Astor is still in New York working on his latest business venture : the Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

Thank you very much dear Friends

Another incredibly sunny day in England which saw a lot of activity in the Grand Room of the Mansion as...

We are welcoming Lady Edwina Weldon from Weldon's Fashions !

Lady Edwina is the daughter of Walter Weldon, the founder of Weldon's Fashions which defined style in Victorian Times. She decided to take her father's business further and is now one of the most sought after interior designers of the era. While Becky and Mariette, supervized by Mrs Higgins are deep cleaning the Grand Room, Lady Charlotte and her Aunt Lady Van den Hesse are enjoying breakfast on the terrace discussing the details of the launch of the London Summer Season. We are catching up with Lady Weldon as she arrives at the Mansion and is soon joined by Lady Charlotte and Lady Van den Hesse. Always a clever business woman, Edwina puts a sign advertizing her trade on the kitchen entrance's pavement which soon attracts the attention of a few Ladies passing by  ;)...

I really like that bolt on the left. It would be great for a library or billiards room.

Thank you very much dear Friend

Another exciting day on Regent St which saw the arrival of a very special Guest...

We are welcoming the most famous detective of all times, Mr Sherlock Holmes !

Always cheeky and never short of British humour, Sherlock decided to make his grand entrance on Regent St in the most unexpected way...

The Victorian Police Carriage customized by my Friend Emma Jane

It is Saturday morning on Regent St and the day starts with the usual tasks such as washing the front steps and beating the rugs, but Elliott the little Paper Boy who took over Peter is bringing a news of some importance today : the famous Sherlock Holmes is due to appear today on Regent St to celebrate the triumph of his last investigation ! Needless to say that the word gets around like gun powder and the entire St is soon in turmoil over the news !

Everyone including Mrs Applepie who is still recovering from the joy of receiving the famous cooking book of Mrs Beeton offered by Mrs Higgins  ;)

Today is also seeing the arrival of a new character who will be a regular of the tales to come, a young Journalist, Samuel Carter who is despatched by a London newspaper to cover the exceptional appearance of Sherlock Holmes on Regent St soon followed by a crowd of Sherlock's fans

Have a great wek-end  8-)
