Hello!
« on: June 06, 2010, 19:49:20 »
Greetings!  I am a retired elementary school teacher and  live in a small village just west of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
My interest in Playmobil goes back almost 30 years, when I bought a couple of sets for use in my classroom.  The kids loved playing with them and I have been adding to the collection ever since.  I have had a lot of fun with various figures, changing heads and bodies and the like.  I guess I am the biggest kid of all!
Currently I am trying to customize and expand a Victorian mansion.  I have found it a challenge and I look forward to getting to know you and exchanging ideas.

Hello basilsdad and welcome to PlaymoFriends!

Your victorian mansion project sounds very fun, and I am guessing you are a Victorian fan. Which other themes do you collect/are interested in?

Welcome from North Yorkshire in the UK    .  If you are interested in Victorian customs, then you should look at Emma J's work and Playmovictorian's stories.

Hi basilsdad,
Welcome from Scotland
I am also collecting extra pieces to extend my mansion, I have plenty of ideas but don't know if they are going to work!
It would be great to see what you are planning.  :)
(BTW I'm also an ex primary school teacher!! - perhaps working with children makes us big kids! ;D)

welcome from san francisco basilsdad.  tell us about your avatar.  i have a few more years before i retire, but i collected with my children when they were young.  i have many of the victorian house sets, but my favorite is the medical center, as i am a nurse.  at least that is my excuse.
