there is a seventies clicky in the playmobil collector 1974 - 2004 in the cover

Its the helmet of the old fire chief, e.g. in set 3525 and 3526.

Thanks, Socrates.  It's another of these cases of "what is rare?"  It is rare as the book would only have been a small print run, but it has also been replaced by a more up-to-date version, so why pay a lot for it?

Quite so. I have a copy of this book, but I'd happily swap it for the updated version. Collector catalogues are only worth what people are prepared to pay for them once they've been superseded.

I have the fireman chief gold plated helmet , i believe its the first gold plated item followed by the gold plated old coins ( so much better than today's plastic colour ones !!!! ) .. I remember when i was a bambino using the gold firemans helmet on my first knight  :-[ :-[ ... lol... i should know bette back then ...  :-[
