Greetings Playmo1989 from the Great Pacific Northwest! Look forward to your questions, do you specialize in any particular theme or are you a generalist?

Welcome from Germany!

I love the 3740. It is my favorite!
I second that it was kind of a strange decision to sell ships with cannon that do not fire.
Especially, as they just removed the spring at this time and the shooting stick used to slip out pretty pathologically.  :hmm:

I can just speculate that they were afraid of any lawsuit that might happen in the US if someone got hurt while playing with the pirates... Maybe they decided to do so spontanously and had to remove the springs in the short term?!

Anyway, welcome aboard and we are waiting for your questions... :)

best,
socrates

Hi Alexis

Welcome from the Scottish Highlands! :)

the guns didn't shoot that's strange ,that stick on the cannon doesn't go in and out? 3055 is of the same quality and collectable as 3740 or is just like an antex product  etc..?

The US have different safety standards for children's toys. As far as I know, the cannons in all US Playmobil sets (apart from the really big ones) are disarmed to prevent kiddies from shooting missiles at each other, but they can be taken apart and adjusted to make them fire again if you have the right parts.

3055 and 3740 are of exactly the same production quality. Neither one is an Antex set.

to the victorian theme as we all know the 7411 expansion floor came up in 1993 , someone told me that was available in 1991 is it true ?

The floor expansion set was around for several years. I remember buying one from the DS around 2000 or 2001. There were two versions with slightly different packaging but the same contents. The first was sold from 1993-95 and the last one from 1995-2001.
