This two-step approach saves them nearly 200.000 euro (if I recall that correctly).
That's what we were told back in 2004 in Dietenhofen

Was that a 200k savings overall ... or per mould, Bogro?

Hi

It will be interesting to see the Doll House & the Special Agents . The knight sets sound so much like ones we have already had. I at least hope they give us some new parts for all these themes. The Agents sounds like a theme similar to Legos Agents that they have had for a few years. I guess all we need to do now is wait for the pictures

Thanks for the info Highland and the translation Count Borgo

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Thanks for the information, highlandcattle, and the translation, Bogro!

I'm glad to see that we will be seeing some new knight sets, but from their descriptions they sound just like a re-hash of the current sets with the addition of some new catapults and robbers instead of black dragon knights.  I'm hoping for more authentic looking knights, but based on the catapult descriptions, I doubt this will happen.  What I was really hoping for was a Crusader focused knight theme, which would be a nice departure for Playmobil and would go well with the three Crusader specials and the recent Arab Warrior special.

I'm also hoping for a more historical doll house, but based on the descriptions (e.g. built-in kitchen and cozy living room) I doubt this too.

The secret agent sets sound interesting.  I probably won't collect them, but I'm curious.

Sad indeed my friend.
I want to know what a Robot Gangster SUV is.  Sounds like some kind of transformer, which IMO is pretty lame.  Hopefully the agents line will produce some cool klickies.  I hope it's more tuxedo or fedora hat kind of guys as opposed to super modernish Splinter Cell kind of guys.

odd - they didn't mention it - but since the production of master molds is extremely expensive; I think it could be.
But even if it isn't - there aren't many companies who can afford not to cut that kind of costs ...

lego came first with a secret agents theme.  ;)
... but what about the medieval village - don't you think it looks familiar?  :hmm:

Not familiar enough. Playmobil needs to prove they can still do it far better.

Indeed it does look a tad similar, but Lego have a current one you can buy and Playmobil don't  :'(

The Playmobil village, if you had all the buildings, would of course look much better. I've been slightly tempted to get that Lego village, but I've been down the Lego route and I know once it's built I've had most of the fun out of it that I'm going to get. I sold a bunch of unopened Lego sets before comign over to the US, because I didn't want to ship them, and I knew I wouldn't get round to playing with them.
