Hello there  :wave:
I'm Damo from Hertfordshire, UK.
I'm 16, and have had and loved Playmobil from a very young age. Nowadays I generally collect the older and rarer sets from most themes, my favourites being western, knights, and trains. People at school say i'm mad because I spend near enough all my money on Playmo, and not much on anything that kids my age do buy!
Hope to find my way around all of this wonderful site soon

I'm really glad you decided to join our forum! :D

I wouldn't be surprised if those kids who make remarks about your collection are secretly quite envious. I would keep on ignoring their comments, in any case. ;)

Even if you decide to sell it all one day (which I hope you don't!), you will get back all the money you paid and probably a bit more. Many of the sets become higher in value the longer you keep them due to them no longer being manufactured after a time.

So Playmobil is not only fun to play with, it's also a very sound investment. :)9

Welcome from the South Eastern USA, Damo! I applaud you for your independence regarding collecting Playmobil instead of Nintendo game cartridges, Wii addictive games, etc. to the point of developing the gamer thumb syndrome  :)9! Some day when your peers are sitting in front of you with their thumbs in corrective casts not being able to clean themselves in the toilet, you can laugh & say "and just what happened to you?" & BTW, what's that smell? :lol:

   Welcome to the site from Sonoma County California . I must say now that I am the age I am I sure wish somebody would have turned me on to Playmobil when I was 16 . All that money I wasted on junk that ended up in the city dump  :'(. Glad you decided to join and please do contribute in anyway you can as this is the only way these communities work . Someday soon maybe you could show us you classic collection  :camera:

Just ignore your friends who think you are mad.  When I was your age, I collected comic books.  You've got to collect something.  If collecting Playmobil makes one mad, then so be it!  Embrace the insanity!   8}  A pox on the unbelievers!
