Train bridge
« on: August 24, 2009, 20:03:24 »
Ok I am starting a project that has been on the back burner and was moved up do to a purchase of a used  4314 Cargo Zone . I am working on using the metal trusses and plastic track for now .

The trusses fit right to the track and that would do but just does not seem very realistic ( if i ever wanted that kid or hobo to be walking the bridge and "oh @%^&  here comes the train !" ) .

I thought about using a system X wall double wide as the foundation so the truss would attach to the lower side and the track could lay on top then on the side i could use the system X railing .

if the bride needed to span a large river or gorge you could use a system x pillar in the middle .

Basically before i tear apart castles or put in a lengthy DS order I would like input or ideas you may have done to make this project.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

This is difficult since I don't own to much SysX. I was thinking you could use thes part on the bottom, they would look like support beams:

I would not use the track as bottom,It would look kinda odd.

Well here is one test . What do you think ?

Looking good,
The center support needs to be thicker, I think. I love those yellow railings (which set are they from?). Maybe you should add other support poles on each side of the bridge.

I could easily make the center a thick column . The Yellow railing is from an Airport but I just used it because i do not have red ones. I am hoping the red will look more like rusted metal
