Need some advise on a DS order
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:04:59 »
Hi,
I plan to order from DS real soon, I want that green wagon on the new train set 4085. As you probably know the base is the same as that of railcar 4126. WOuld it be cheaper to just buy a railcar 4126 take of all the extra parts and order the container from DS or is it cheaper to order the whole shebang from DS ?
I can get railcar 4126 for 19,98 euro.

Hello, HC ...

If I remember correctly, you are in the Benelux area. If you can get set 4085 at a good price, my advice would be to buy it. Especially since it is an exclusive limited edition.

However, if you can actually get ALL the parts to assemble a green container from DS, it is probably going to be expensive after you add on the price of 4126.

If you haven't already been to Heather's wonderful PlaymoDB, click HERE to see ALL the parts that you will need to assemble the green container.

For images of 4085 and 4126 ...

HI Richard ,

Trouble is I really dislike the RC rails and I would have to resell them and that takes time...yadda yadda yadda.
Another problem is the big box. When I sneak in my trains bit by bit my girlfriend actually doesn't notice it. She simply says: "Nice you have a new wagon..." but when I arrive with such an humongous box, I'll probably be in trouble.
Third problem: I already have such a locomotive (albeit in red, the 7508) and I would first like to have a 4010 train (and those are pretty cheap at the moment in Belgium).

I also dislike the RC trains. I really love  the Electric trains!

Too bad that this isn't your only problem. You could just get a new girlfriend ...  :klickywink:

Hmmm ... sounds like your best solution is to try ro get all the parts from DS. Good luck!

All the best,
Richard

Hi  That was the last time ;)

I don't mind the trains themselves, It is just the rails that are so ugly. (Oh and the RCE is pretty ugly too)

Oooh I hope she doesn't hear you. I love her dearly :-[. But she actually prefers my LEGO over Playmobil >:D

Thanks
