I would like to take time to say that this 5th & final part of my photo story “Playmobil City Fire Department has a fallen hero. PART 5” has been most difficult to complete. It has taxed my memory extensively in regards to proper department etiquette, & procedures, along with bringing back tearful events whose pain is as raw today as they were in the 20 years of volunteering for this type of adrenaline rush caused by being a firefighter, & an EMT.
I have attempted to be as lifelike, honorable, & respectful concerning the material in this following story as my memory of past events will allow me to be. I have attempted to not be overly detailed, but just highlighting some of the procedures carried out here in the USA mostly because this is an International forum, & these types of events are handled differently world wide. I hope I have achieved my task. It is sad but this is an actual event in real life that occurs all too often in this line of work. Please be sure to give thanks to the individuals that risk their lives everyday so others may live, & be safe.

Shortly after this sad event, Playmobil City Fire Department Arson Investigtion Units reviewed the digital pictures that were photographed two days before this tragic event. The photos revealed the large hole that was cut in the third floor to route the fire suppression system water pipes had been done without notifying the proper building code inspectors after the documentation photos were taken. The construction company was fined a sustantial safety violation fine, & lost their contract to continue work on the project. The second violation was issued due to there not being any safety barricades put in place to prevent accidents like the one that took the life of firefighter #2354. The two construction workers that were arrested are still in jail trying to raise bail. This is the finale of this photo story.

Wow Bill, I am speechless. That story was beautifully put together and photographed (your attention to detail being first rate as were the scene compositions), this project also highlighted how complete the Playmobil line is in its ability to bring stories to life (in the right hands).

It was a sad tale to be sure but was well told and ably illustrated and I thank you for the time and energy you spent in bringing it to us.

Hello Bill,

Thank you for sharing your story with us. A very touching end captured with care and thoughtfulness. As allways the little details stood out really well. I noticed how neatly the flag was folded on the casket, just like in real life it had been folded with the up most care. I liked how the appliance was 'dressed' up for the occasion and how the coffin (casket) was carried on the roof. The crossed ladders was also a very nice touch. I am guessing the helmet will be returned to the family along with the flag ? Is this correct Bill ?
All in all a truly wonderfull story from beginning to end, captured in stunning detail. I really am looking forward to seeing your next masterpiece :wow:

Hello again Tim  !
I am glad you enjoyed the photo story from start to finish! As for the answers to your questions, yes, the flag is folded military style, & given to the immediate family members along with the firefighters helmet. I am in the process of coming up with future photo story projects now, & getting the assigned firefighters ready to come to you for their advanced rescue tool training  ;)! Thank you for all of your positive reviews  ;D!

Thank you for the positive feedback Abbot  ;D! I tried to be as realistic from what I remember regarding actual events that I attended years ago using Playmobil as I could! With Playmobils attention to detail there isn't many things that can't be accomplished in making photo stories  :)!

I can almost hear the bagpipes watching the pictures. I remember attending a colleagues police funeral eight years ago when i was a constable in Scotland. As a policeman i really appreciate the work you guys do everyday.
