9008 Advent Calendar: Royal Skating Pond
« on: November 08, 2017, 16:25:40 »
I bought this set because I loved the look of some of the elements.   Needless to say, I fell in love with some of them after seeing them up close!

The box:

The package of the background and instructions (I dislike how they attach it under the outer sleeve and use glue to hold it in place)

Instructions:

The background (I like this background for this set up)

I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Days 1-5:  Nothing terribly exciting here.  We've seen this girl before, the gold ice skates are nice additions.  I like her hood.  (I was playing with filters on the camera so my apologies if the pictures look a little funny)

Days 6-10: The figure skater becomes the princess.  We've seen the Owl and the rabbits before.  I still love the donuts (and the smaller basket they are in).  My favorite part though is the gorgeous tree that I must get more of!

Her skates do not come off.  I love her dress

The tree!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Days 11-15: Not much exciting here in my opinion since we've seen most of these parts elsewhere)

Days 16-20:  I love the toadstools!

He's in pieces!  Haha!

Toadstools/ Mushrooms!

Days 21-24: A return of the foxes, the Prince, and then a bracelet (that as you can tell, I didn't feel the need to remove from the plastic)

Prince:

I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

They're skating on a giant iced over bucket, what are you talking about!

No, it’s been in several sets including Santa’s Holiday Home

I think the oldest snowman was one piece, but they have been multi-part for the last few years.
This looks like a great set, I am using it this year as my actual calendar. Great to get so many small snow ground pieces.
