Photo contest idea

Raven's recent Shopping Mall diorama gave me an idea for a future photo competition. She took the same building and challenged herself to fill it with ten different shops.

How about a challenge where there were 10 basic items to be included in a photo and entrants had to use their imagination to create an appropriate scene- or sequence- which included all 10 items.

OK, first problem with this idea- not everyone will have the required 10 items to start with. This could be overcome by making the 10 items somewhat generic e.g.
1. An animal
2. A vehicle or part of a vehicle
3. An item of vegetation
4. An item of kitchen or cooking equipment
5. An item of detachable clothing
6. An item of food
7. An item of furniture
8. A weapon or shield
9. A gold item
10. An item used for a purpose it was never intended for (a banana used as a telephone receiver, for example).

Should have a bucket. Everyone has a bucket.

I like the general idea. Maybe reduce the number of necessary items though to five or six. That way the same idea can be reused once a year or so without having to reuse the items list too soon.

I like the idea too! But I agree that it should be lessened to 5 or 6 items (and yes, everyone has a bucket). It could be an interesting contest.

Yes, that sounds sensible, 5 or 6 items, one of which may or may not be a bucket!
I would gladly send a bucket (while stocks last) to anyone who does not own one so they are not prevented from entering!

A great idea!  Reminds me of composition tasks when I was at school:  'Write a story which includes a dragon, a watering can, and a yacht.'

(Though when one of the items was 'an old chest', my teacher was not happy that I began my story, 'The old man took off his shirt and showed his old chest....')
