5639 Play Box Flora Shop

Number three in the series of four Play Box sets currently out in the US. This one is a flower shop, and is excellent.

The contents, similar to the other sets in the series. Lots of flowers and related accessories. The backgrounds are pretty plain, but that's ok since they have all the flowers to put in front. I would have preferred no door but it's ok.  One small sticker sheet and the round stickers for holding the backgrounds in place. Again, just the bog one needs one on the bottom to hold it down, but otherwise I skipped them since the shelves hold the backs in just fine.



Here's a shot of just the flower bags opened up, plus the white hinge clips.

A nice variety of flowers there. Here it is all set up.






The colors of the flowers and vases are all great. I don't remember ever seeing the paper cups that are usually with the food items in them used to hold a flower stem, a great idea. (in the basket there)

Very nice, and really either could be the shopkeeper, or both possibly. I prefer the woman in green for that though. Still, nice figures.

That's it for this review. A great set I think, with an nice assortment of flowers for people who may have missed the Garden Center theme a while back. I think it makes a great little set and while this series may seema bit expensive at $19.99 USD, like most others I think it's a great value.

Great review of a nice flower set. With the prices of flowers skyrocketing this set is looking better.

I am not too sure though about the use of the building itself which must add a significant amount to the price. It's not a building but a storage box with some play value. If the box could be used as a sort of street vendor shop where there are many different ones lining a street then it has a diorama use.

I like the klickys (a non-pregnant version of that torso = interesting)

I'm almost sure those "papers" have been used for flowers long ago....

I certainly did not come up with the idea but we have been using it for a very long time.

Thanks for this series of reviews! I had ignored these sets,due to the carry case, but I really like what you've done with them! And they have some really nice klickies  :love:

Thanks for the comments, glad everyone is enjoying the reviews.
I have seen the paper used on flowers before! The flower bike delivery guy from the Victorian theme used it. I had totally forgotten about that. The Victorian era was a long time ago now.
