Question on size of old klickies.
« on: September 27, 2015, 22:35:34 »
I've noticed with some older klickies that things don't fit in their hands, that either the hand grip is larger or the item is slightly smaller. Would this be due to wear/damage or a different mold? Would playpeople for instance be exactly the same as regular playmobil?
I suppose I should get a proper catalogue but I've noticed that the klickies with the blank feet at least are not very interchangeable with the 1974 feet.
I remember having both as a child and damaging frames trying to blend the two types. I've recently got some older klickies of both types so was wondering what the difference is.

There are slight differences as far as I know yes.

Hats from classic clickies tend to be quite tight on newer clickies, and the newer hats tend to be a bit looser on classic clickies.

As to hats, careful with the ancient ones, they had a "notch" to fit the hair, and the new hair doesn't...

I've removed those notches on some old hats for that reason. Is that why current hair has a flat area at the back - to accommodate that tab a bit? I don't see the point of it otherwise - too tight if completely round? ???
