What do you call this part? A weapon clip? Holster?
« on: October 06, 2014, 02:31:53 »
I need to buy a half dozen of these in light brown in order to complete my cohort of Roman archers. But I am stymied searching for them on ebay because I don't know what they are called:

Clips? Holsters? Weapon holders?

I also need some of these in light brown but belt/strap gives results for them:

Any three of your descriptions for the first items might be used.

On PlaymoDB they are referred to as 'Belt loop for dagger': here are the 13 parts with this description listed on PlaymoDB. Note that although the pictures vary, they are probably all the same shape.
30 22 9440 is light brown and is available from DS for £0.20 (you are in the US I think so that info. may be of little use to you, but see below!)

The belt with pegs is called 'Shoulder strap with pegs for upper rear and lower front quivers' on PlaymoDB, which shows just these four versions, but there may be others. The brown one 30 26 6280 (from Roman Chariot 5812) is available from DS for £0.15- don't ask me why it costs less than the belt loop!  (same comment as above re US and DS).

Let me know if you want me to add any of these to my next DS order! Shipping to US (or wherever) won't be much...
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

PlaymoDB...Direct Service....You, sir, are a salvific genius! What an amateur I've been, mucking about on ebay, trying to judge colours from poorly rendered jpegs. You have brought SCIENCE to the endeavour!

Long story short, having cross referenced the parts, I would MUCH APPRECIATE and even pay extra for:

2x 30 26 6280   Shoulder strap with pegs for upper rear and lower front quivers - brown
4x 30 26 6250   Belt loop for dagger - brown
6x 30 09 9410   Quiver, snaps onto belt - brown

Thank you so much in advance!

This order, having been completed, shall put me in possession of a full cohort of no fewer than TEN (10) complete Roman archers! (Not one with painted shoulders!) I can then die in peace.

Don't die just yet, Macruaran. I will add those parts to my order and send it off later this week!
