Piko came out with some new models in fall (2014) [CLICK! Attention: on page 2 are also two tank cars]

One of the highlights is the train with a blue Camelback loco »The Blue Comet«:

Yes, it's ~ Playmobil Scale: You can use LGB or Piko locos and cars with Playmobil.
(The Playmobil figures can't click the Piko/LGB leadders or handgrips.)

Here you see the (german loco) Piko BR 64 with Playmobil staff: train driver (right) and stoker (left):

@tonguello:
Thank you!

Um..., well, this pics are with models from Piko (not LGB in this case!!), another model train company in Thuringia, Germany.
They make US Models and German Standard Gauge (in Gauge G = 45 mm).

LGB is the older company (Garden Trains since 1968), bought by Märklin 2007, bought by toy maker Simba Dickie 2013.
LGB make models in Narrow Gauge (II m = 45 mm) and some in Standard Gauge (G = 45 mm).

Both (Piko and LGB and some other, like Bachmann, Lilliput, USA Trains, Aristocraft, Train Line,...) could be combined with Playmobil, they are nearly the same scale (~1:27 to 1:22,5). Playmobil figure: 7,5 cm => 1,80 m (1:24).

Here another example of a german driving day (on a private garden railway) [CLICK!] with the Piko BR 64, two (brown) cars from LGB (the three cars from Piko you can't see in this picture) and a red street car from LGB. No Playmobil here, but it's possible (it's in work, you can see it left in my profile picture, there is a train driver for electric locos with the German Electric loco E 18 of epoch II, ~1925-45).

That Blue Train is amazing and I did not know that these brands were Playmocompatible  :love:

This creates so many wonderful possiblilities  :)

Karim, do you also have a (Playmobil) train?

Street cars (e.g.) are very nice to combine with 1900 Playmobil... (look at these pictures of Skywalker with a street car of Bachmann).
