Some 'watercolour paintings' of klickys
« on: January 13, 2014, 00:40:25 »
I have a fun new app on my phone that turns photos into (quite realistic) watercolour paintings. So of course I had to try it out with some photos of some of my favourite figures.  :D

Very nice. That knight looks especially menacing in the watercolor version.

Those are really awesome. I particularly like the geisha in water color, it fits her well. What do you call that app?

The app is called Waterlogue

It works beautifully with all kinds of photographs.

Thank for sharing this info and you great results. I too like the geisha one, it's very appropriate looking. All geobra needs to introduce is a cherry blossom tree to go with her.

Good effect that the app does a good job making them look like proper watercolours I always like how ti makes them look less like toys as well obviously they're still different from humans but, stilll less obviously toys. I've done some watercolour using watercolour pencils mainly plants and a few attempts at Action Man I've got a plan for a still life and a bee on an Echinacea but, I've never done Klickies namely because my half finished sketch of some Klicky kids toook several attempts to get the proportions looking half decent and that's still a bit of a stretch  :-[ but, perhaps I should pick up my pencils and see if I can do better with watercolours.
