Yes, it was an egg-in-a-box.  If you turn the box around, you can see the egg.

I got it via the US DS. The Canadian site just doesn't seem to have the same deals as the US!  Currently the Canadian site has NO products listed under  "Best Buys", and doesn't even have sections for 'Discontinued', 'Last Chance' or 'Pick of the Month', like the US does.

I know.  It's very frustrating.

Especially considering a few years ago they had a lot of Steck listed on the Canadian site and I got to stock up on castle towers, wall pieces, western buildings, 5300 floors, etc.

Bought this stagecoach from DS. I don't have any Western items at all, but I quite liked this. Love both the klickies that it came with. Half the stickers wouldn't peel off of the sheet, though and ripped. So I need to have them send me another sheet.

I have been NEEDING the coffin from the Snow White 4211 set for a Project. DS Canada said they were out of stock, but would try order it which would take around three months.  Ebay showed me that a couple had sold back in the spring, but there hasn't been anything since. US DS were partially helpful, sending me the gold base and blue insert, but telling me that the clear top is discontinued. ::sob::

Had been checking Craigslist, finally one popped up! At a good price! But over an hour from where I lived. Luckily, my husband was going to be in that area that very evening! A quick email, and a meeting is arranged! So, this coffin is FINALLY mine!

Yes I'm curious too  :)  Great to see you finally got that missing piece!

Pretty disappointing about the stickers from the coach, though. I really like the figures too.

Very good purchases!! I have the stagecoach from the big western set 4072 but I think I will also buy this set, because I like very much the figures and especially the banker. Thanks a lot for the pictures.

Wow, I sure haven't kept this topic updated! Most recently, I haven't updated because the photo service I was using (Imageshack) became a pay service, and I wasn't up for that.  But my newest additions got me so excited that I made a photobucket account, and shall endeavour to keep this thread more updated!

I was checking Craigslist for Playmobil (not looking for anything in particular), and checked the misspelling with an "e" on the end.  Someone had a whole pile of stuff for $35 Canadian. (So about $30 US, or 25 Euros) It had just been listed, so I thought my chances were good that no one had contacted her yet.

She was about an hour from where I live, and as there wasn't anything in the pile that I *really* needed, I don't think I'd've driven to pick them up...but, my husband happened to be out that way and would be returning in a few hours and could pick it up on his way back.

So I have my first ever miscellaneous assortment, bought sight unseen (well, a few pictures!). What fun!

The sets were mostly 90% to 100% complete.  There's a bunch of stuff that doesn't seem to go with any of the sets (five lilypads!).

4463 Caimans
4462 Penguins
3204 Grocery Van
3327 Red Dragon
4175 Amphibious Vehicle with Deinonychus
4174 Spinosaurus
4173 Pteranodon
4204 Forest Animimal Den
4488 Deep Sea Diver
4203 Birdhouse
5780 Raft

Also some pirate zombies, green knights, a bit of 4847 treasure Hunter, and a few other bits and bobs. All in all I was very happy with this purchase!

:o All of that for 25 euros?? I probably would have paid 20 for the supermarket delivery truck alone  ;D

You've got yourself a nice zoo with all of that  :)

Wow, that certainly was a very good deal.  :o

Even if you can't use all of it most of it like trees, rocks, animals and various clickies can always be usefull for whatever themes you use, and you could easily get all your money back by reselling what you don't need.
